Girls 7th Grade A Volleyball sweeps Portland Middle School

Win: 3 - 0
The Ionia Volleyball A Team finished strong with a sweeping victory over Portland. It was a back and forth battle for most of the evening as Ionia seemed to struggle to pull away at times. Good team work and defensive hustle helped Ionia win the first set 25-21. The momentum carried over into the second set and Ionia was able to keep the lead and win 25-18. Bella Barr had some nice sets and Ella White and Ryelee Daugherty finished with some solid spikes. Teamwork, hustle and strong serves helped Ionia win the third set 15-13. The leading servers for Ionia were Ryelee Daugherty 9 points, Alexa Peterson 8 and Audrey Sprank 5. The A Team finished the season with a 9-1 record. Congratulations! Way to go, Ladies.

The Ionia Volleyball A Team took all three sets from Waverly 25-6, 25-11 and 15-2. The Lady Dawgs brought their A game tonight as Waverly struggled to return Ionia's serves. Leading all servers was Pyper Patterson with 16 service points, Ella White 10 and Audrey Sprank 7. Ionia played tough defense which helped them focus in on setting their teammates for attacks. Great team work! Ionia improves to 8-1 on the season and will play their final match at home on Monday against county rival Portland. Let's Go, Bulldogs!

The Ionia Volleyball A Team started the evening fighting for every point against a tough St. Johns team. The Lady Dawgs hustled and put pressure on the opponent's defense with solid attacks and tips. Ionia won the first set 25-21. Ionia started slow in the second set and struggled to keep pace with St. Johns. Ionia lost 12-25. It all came down to the third set. Ionia continued to battle St. Johns' defense and dropped the third and deciding set 7-15. The service leaders were Ryelee Daugherty with 7 points and Pyper Patterson, 6. The Ionia A Team is 7-1 on the season and will travel to Waverly on Wednesday.

The Ionia Volleyball A Team jumped out to a strong lead and never looked back as the team took all three sets from Eaton Rapids, 25-10, 25-8 and 15-4. The Lady Dawgs continue to impress from the service line. Ionia tallied multiple aces tonight and really put Eaton Rapids on their heels. Everyone who stepped back to serve did well tonight. Leading the Dawgs was Pyper Patterson with 21 service points (15 points in one set, Whew!), Bella Barr 7 and Selina Stalker 6. Ionia continues to be offensive minded as they worked to bump, set, spike off of Eaton Rapids serve. Well done, Ladies! The Ionia A Team is now 7-0 on the season and will travel to St. Johns on Monday. Let's Go, Ionia!

The Ionia Volleyball A Team swept all three sets tonight from the home team Lakewood. From the first serve, the match was a back and forth battle. Ionia needed to dig deep and work together as a team to secure this victory. The front row continued to be aggressive at the net and the back row hustled to make solid passes. Leading the Lady Dawgs with service points was Selina Stalker 9 points and Bella Barr 7. Juliette Stoakes lead the team with 9 defensive passes. Ionia is undefeated on the season, 6-0, and is action at home on Wednesday. Come out and support your Ionia Bulldogs.

The Ionia Volleyball A Team faced their in county rival Portland tonight and swept all three sets. The Lady Dawgs came to play tonight. The serving game was spot on and Ionia's overall defense was tough! Everyone had a part in this victory. Leading the team in service points was Ryelee Daugherty, Alexa Petersen, Audrey Sprank and Bella Barr. Offensively, Ionia was lead by Selina Stalker, Pyper Patterson and Ella White. Defensively, everyone! The match was very exciting and the girls are really starting to gel and step up their game. Ionia won all three sets 25-16, 25-12 and 15-9. Way to go, Ionia! The Ionia A Team is 5-0 on the season and will travel to Lakewood on Monday.

The Ionia A Volleyball Team won all 3 sets tonight as they faced the Olivet Eagles. Ionia started strong in the first set and then Olivet gained momentum and brought the set within a few points. The Lady Dawgs played tough and showed resilience as they won the set 25-22. Ionia carried their energy into the second set and teamwork prevailed. Audrey Sprank stepped back to serve with the score 19-13 and served 5 straight service points. Ionia won 25-13. The third set was a bit of a battle and when Ionia won the serve sitting on 7 points, Ryelee Daugherty served 6 straight to put the Lady Dawgs within reach of a victory. Ionia did win 15-8. The leading servers tonight were Alexa Petersen, 11 service points, and Pyper Patterson 10. Ionia continues to develop solid teamwork with quite a few of the players recording kills tonight. Ionia is 4-0 on the season and will travel on Wednesday to face county rival Portland. Let's Go, Lady Dawgs!

The Ionia Volleyball A Team is off to a strong start winning their third match in a row. Ionia faced the Charlotte Orioles tonight and it was a total team effort as the Lady Dawgs won 25-12, 25-12 and 15-12. Ionia was lead by Alexa Petersen's 14 service points and Pyper Patterson's 8. Ionia was really focused tonight on setting up for offensive hits and Pyper Patterson had 8 kills. Ella White had 5 assists and Juliette Sower-Stoakes made 3 fantastic saves. Bella Barr was solid with her passing which lead to numerous sets for the front row players to attack. Overall, the ladies played together and were aggressive throughout the match. Well done, Ladies! Ionia A Team is 3-0 and will travel to Olivet on Monday.

The Ionia A Volleyball Team went toe to toe with visiting Lansing Catholic this evening. The first set went down to the wire with Ionia winning 25-23. Ionia carried this momentum into the second set and jumped out to a dominate lead that they never relinquished. Ionia won the set 25-18. The third set was quite the challenge as Ionia lost 8-15. Leading the Lady Dawgs in service points was Alexa Petersen, 13, Pyper Patterson, 9 points and Brynn Steffen, 5. Selina Stalker dominated the net with 3 kills. Overall, the Lady Dawgs are starting to come together as a team and are now 2-0 on the season. Ionia will travel to Charlotte to take on the Orioles on Wednesday. Go Dawgs!

The Ionia A Volleyball team swept all three sets against county rival Lakewood. Ionia dominated the serve with Pyper Patterson scoring 20 service points and Avery Rowley scoring 11. Teamwork was on display as the Lady Dawgs bump, set, spiked their way to 3 solid victories, 25-6, 25-10, 15-10. Good energy and sportsmanship, Ladies! Ionia is 1-0 and will play at home on Monday.
