CoEd Middle School Wrestling vs. Olivet Middle School
The Ionia Middle School Wrestling team hosted their first home double dual Tuesday evening against Olivet and Fowlerville. Ionia lost to Olivett 18-39 and Fowlerville 27-66. Against Olivet, we had Wayatt Jhonson, Cylis Piche, and Ashton Lemke, all scoring for the team with pins! Against Fowllerville we had Lorenzo Lopez and Jordan Wieland winning with pins and Vincent Darling with a Major Decision! For our extra matches for the night, we had Lillyanna Wilks winning with a regular decision, Jordan Shattuck with a pin, and Owen McCoy with a win. Ionia is now being 0-4 for our duals. Ionia will be traveling to Fowllerville High School on Sunday 1/9/25 for our first JH girls-only tournament starting at 11:00 am, followed by a dual on 2/11/25 at Holt Middle School. Ionia vs Holt & Lakewood starting at 4:30 pm.
