The Ionia girls bowling team took on county rival Lakewood on their home lanes at the Ionia Bowling Alley and came away with an impressive 26-4 win.

In team match #1 Ionia totaled 607 pins to Lakewood’s 488 pins, the Bulldogs were led by Lena Cox’s 148 followed by Adah Drown’s 135.  In match #2 Ionia totaled 675 pins to Lakewood’s 543 pins, the Bulldogs were led by Kaylynn Wizorek’s 236 199 followed by Lena Cox’s 175.  Ionia won the series 1282 to 1031.

In the 2 Bakers matches the Bulldogs outscored the Vikings 258 to 194.

The varsity girls are now 5-4 overall and 5-4 in the league.  TThe boys will be back in action next on Monday as they take on Lansing Eastern.
