Ionia Girls Varsity Track and Field at the D2 MHSAA State Finals

On Saturday June 1st 2024 The Ionia Track and Field Team was represented by Jacob Montgomery for the boys and Mimi Wegener for the Girls team. THe meet was held at Hamilton High School. Mimi finished 11th in the Pole Vault by clearing 9’-9” and Jacob finished 6th in the 800M Run with a time of 1:57.01. Full results can be found at athletic.net
Jacob’s finish in the top 8 names him in the All State Ranking and with his GPA he will also receive Academic All State Honors.
In the Girls Pole Vault Mimi was one height away from also being named All State (and a GPA that would also make her Academic All State).
