The Ionia Girls Track and Field Team competed in the MHSAA Region 15 Meet at Mason High School on Friday May 17, 2024.  As a team the Girls finished 9th out of 15 Teams.

     Individually the Girls Qualified Mimi Wegener for the MHSAA D2 State Track and Field Meet to be held at Hamilton High School on Saturday June 1, 2024.  Mimi Finished 1st in the Pole Vault allowing her to compete in the State Meet for the first time.  Mimi not only earned a new PR, she also beat her own school record by clearing 11’-0”. As a team the Girls had 8 PR’s and received all Region Recognition by earning medals in 8 events (top 8).      The Bulldogs are next in action on Wednesday May 22, 2024 at Eaton Rapids for the CAAC White Championship meet. The season is winding down with a total of 3 Meets remaining for a select few of the Ionia Team, including the CAAC Championship Meet, The Greater Lansing Area Meet of Champions (5/28) and the MHSAA State Meet (6/1).
