2023 CAAC White Championship Meet at Ionia

The Ionia Girls Track and Field Team finished 3rd at the CAAC White Championship Meet behind Charlotte and Lansing Catholic.  Overall the senior girls had a good night with PR’s and performances that demonstrated GRIT by finishing higher in their events than they were seeded for in the meet.

CAAC Womens meet Standing

The Ionia Girls finished the night with 9 PR’s and medaled in 9 events, earning All Conference status.  Medalists were as follows:Tess Griffith finished first in the High Jump [5’-2”], Mimi Wegener second in the Pole Vault [9’-0”], The 4 x 200 Relay Team of Ella Udell, Paislie Patterson, Hailie Fuentes, and Brianna Fuentes [1:55.62] finished second.  Makenna Waterman was third in the Shot Put [29’-10.25”], Tess Griffith third in the 100M Hurdles [13.20], Megan Lennemann third in the 1600M Run [5:47.52] and the 3200M Run [12:51.10], Brianna Fuentes third in the 200M Dash [28.06], and the 4 X 100 Relay team of Ella Udell, Mimi Wegener, Brianna Fuentes, and Hailey Fuentes finished third [54.48].
