On Friday May 12th the Ionia Girls Track and Field team traveled to Alma to compete in the Alma Panther Track and Field Invitational. The Ionia girls team finished 4th in the Large School Division. It was a great day weather wise and the girls medaled in 5 events and earned PR’s in 10 Individual events and improved their 4 X 200 Relay Time.
Medalists for Ionia were as follows:
First Place; Megan Lennemann in the 3200M Run (12:23.46)
Second Place; Tess Griffith in the High Jump (4’-8”)
Third Place; Lilly Reams in the Discus (102’-10”)
Third Place for the 4 X 200 Relay Team of Ella Udell, Paislie Patterson, Brianna Fuentes, and Hailey Fuentes (1:53.11).
