The Ionia Girls Track and Field Team finished 3rd at the D2- Region 13 Meet on Saturday May 21, 2022.  The Ionia girls scored 80 points to finish third behind 2 talented  Region 13 teams; Grand Rapids Christian (162) and East Grand Rapids (139.5).  Team scores were as follows:

In the process of earning 3rd place, Ionia gained 8 PR’s, became all Region (top 8) in 22 events earning 22 medals for the day. They will advance Bryn Reams (shot put and discus) to the MHSAA State finals on Saturday June 4th which will be contested at Forest Hills Eastern.  The requirements to advance to the State Meet are to either place first or second in the event or meet or beat Additional Qualifying Standards on the day of the Regional Meet.
