OLIVET MIDDLE SCHOOL: 27
Ionia 7th grade girls went Olivet for game 4 on the season and won 40-27 moving them to 4-0 on the season. The Bulldogs were led in scoring by Carmen Hoppough who had 14 points and Brooklyn Shattuck who 13 points. Addie Perry added 11 points. Carmen led the team in assists with 4. She also had 4 blocks and 10 rebounds. Brooklyn Shattuck had 7 rebounds and Addie led the team in rebounds with 14 along with 7(!) blocks. Down 3 girls due to illness, it was a tough game on the road against a good team. Everyone that was able to make it was asked to do more than they had all season and they responded very well. After a tight 1st half and a tie game of 17-17 with about 5 minutes to go, the Bulldogs went on an 8-0 run and were able to hold and extend the lead from there. On Wednesday, February 5th, the Bulldogs will host Portland for their 5th game at 4:30.
