Ionia B squad ended the season Wednesday at IMS, losing to Portland 31-23.  The Bulldogs finish 1-8 with the loss.  With a tie score at the half 10-10 Ionia was unable to handle the Portland press in the 2nd half being outscored 11-4 in the 3rd period.  Roeman Russell led the Dawg attack with 17 points 9 rebounds and 4 steals. Teric Hogan added 2 points 7 rebounds and 3 steals. Travis Teaker netted 2 points grabbed 6 boards and 2 steals.  Zayden David 2 points and 3 steals. Also contributing to the Bulldog cause were Ayden Brown 2 rebounds 2 steals, Keegan Pickett 2 rebounds 1 steal, Brighton Montgomery 2 rebounds 1 steal while Anthony Rood and Wyatt Johnson each had a steal. Grayson Dewitt, Bryson Rayner, Trayvin Simon and Braxtonn Renucci with great hustle rounded out this years team.                                                                             In their first year of school basketball the boys showed great effort, growing as a team and gaining confidence in themselves.  Thank you to the super group of parents, grandparents and other family and friends who supported the team this year.   Thanks for a fun season!
