WAVERLY MIDDLE SCHOOL: 57
Ionia 7th grade B team suffered their worse loss of the season Monday, a 22 point defeat at the hands of the Waverly Warriors 57-35 on the winners court. The Bulldogs fell behind 12-1 early and 31-17 at the half. Turnovers again was the main reason for the loss. The young Dawgs were led in scoring by Evan White finding the nets for 11 points. Brighton Montgomery and Bryson Rayner added 6 points each. Zayden David scored 5 points. Teric Hogan 4 points Keegan Pickett 2 points and Ayden Brown 1 point rounded out the scoring. Hogan led the board work with 12 rebounds White and brown each grabbed 5. White had 2 assists and 3 steals while Wyatt Johnson added 3 steals Ionia now 1-7 will close out the season Wednesday when they play host to Portland.
