Ionia 7th grade B team traveled to St Johns Wednesday losing to the Redwings 47-29. With the score tied at 4-4 St Johns went on a 20-6 run to make the halftime score 24-10 Ionia outscored the home team 9-7 in the 3rd period to make it 31-19 but could not mount any comeback in the final stanza. The Bulldogs were out rebounded 44-19 and turned the ball over 34 times to aid in the 18 point defeat. The loss leaves Ionia squad with a season record of 1-6. The young Dawgs were led in the scoring column by Evan White with 11 points. Braxtonn Renucci hit two long range shots for 6 points while Teric Hogan, Zayden David and Ayden Brown each scored 4 points. Hogan led on the boards with 5 rebounds. White added 2 assists. Ionia will play at Waverly on Monday. Tip off at 4:30
