PORTLAND MIDDLE SCHOOL : 37
The 7th grade boys B team traveled to Portland Wednesday returning home on the short end of a 37-29 score. The loss leaves the Bulldogs with a season 1-3 record. Holding an 8-3 lead Ionia was outscored 29-10 in the middle quarters before making a slight comeback outpointing the Vikings 11-5 in the final stanza. Evan White paced the Bulldogs with 13 points 8 rebounds 7 steals and 3 assists. Brighton Montgomery found the nets for 6 points. Ayden Brown chipped in wit 4 points 4 rebounds and 4 steals. Zayden David and Teric Hogan added 2 points apiece while Braxtonn Renucci and Anthony Rood each had a free throw. Hogan and Keegan Pickett pulled down 8 boards each. Ionia will travel to Lakewood on Monday the 25th. Tip off is 4:30
