Ionia 7th grade boys B team recorded an impressive 34-21 victory over Lansing Catholic Central Monday at the IMS gym. The win evens their season record at 1-1. Leading 15-8 at halftime the Bulldogs pulled away in the 3rd period outscoring LCC 13-4. Scoring for Ionia were Evan White 8 pts. Brighton Montgomery, Zayden David and Ayden Brown each netted 6 pts. Bryson Rayner scored 5 pts. Teric Hogan 2 pts. and Anthony Rood added a free throw. Rebounding leaders were White with 8, Hogan 7 and Keegan Pickett grabbed 5. White added 5 steals while Brown nabbed 3. Ionia will travel to Charlotte on Wednesday for a 4:30 contest.
