OLIVET MIDDLE SCHOOL: 62
Tonight Ionia traveled to Olivet for their fourth game of the season. It was a good start for the Bulldogs as they hung close to Olivet and were only down 31-23 at halftime. The third quarter seems to be where the Bulldogs run into trouble. Again they came out sluggish and Olivet took advantage and built their lead to 25 points. But Ionia never gave up and continued to fight. They outscored Olivet 21-8 in the fourth quarter but it was too much to overcome and lost 62-50. Leading scorers were Chase Reister with 20 points and Quintin Castillo with 12 points all 3-pointers. Other contributors were Austin Ayany with 8 points, Landon Gerstein with 5 points, Garrett Gorby with 2, Parker Spitzley with 2, and Omari Mckinney with 1 point. The team is now 0-4 on the season. Their next game is Wednesday, November 20 at home against Portland.
