WAVERLY MIDDLE SCHOOL: 47
Tonight the A-Team of Ionia hosted Waverly for their second game of the season. The first half was evenly played and the score heading into halftime was 21-21. In the second half, the Bulldogs never found a rhythm and were outscored in both the third and fourth quarters. Ionia lost 42-47. Leading scorers were Henry Castle with 16 points, Spencer Tooker with 12 points, and Braylon Granger with 6. Ionia is now 1-1. The next game is this Thursday, February 18 at Charlotte.
The B Team players did not have a game tonight but were able to play a fifth quarter against Waverly. Scorers for that quarter were Charles Frost with 3 points, Elijah Goins with 2 points, and Myles Perrien with 1.
