Tonight the Bulldogs hosted the Gladiators of Fowlerville. This was the first game for both teams. It was a slow start for Ionia and by the end of the first quarter, they were trailing 8-9. In the second quarter, they settled down and outscored Fowlerville 14-8. Going into halftime the Bulldogs led 22-17. The second half was played evenly with the Bulldogs holding on for a win. Final score 43-38. Leading scorers were Henry Castle with 17 points, Tristin Ciganick with 8 points and, Spencer Tooker with 7 points. The Bulldogs are now 1-0. The next game is Wednesday, February 17 at home against Waverly.
