The 7th grade A Team were fired up and ready to play tonight. The Lady Dawgs swept Portland winning 25-18, 25-13 and 15-4. Every player contributed from the service line. Brooklyn Shattuck ended the night with 7 aces, 4 kills and 1 dig. Aubree Shaw had 6 aces, 4 kills and 1 dig. Adelyse Perry had 3 aces, 5 kills and 3 digs. Carmen Hoppough had 4 aces and 5 kills. Claire Nash had 2 aces. Lainey Bennett and Mollie Lemke worked hard in the back row keeping the ball in play and Payton Hoppes was aggressive at the net. This well earned victory was a team effort. The ladies had great energy all match and they continue to improve in all facets of the game. Ionia improves to 5-0 and will travel on Monday to take on county rival Lakewood. Go Bulldogs!
