The Ionia 7th grade Volleyball A Team improved their record to 4-0 tonight as they dominated Olivet Middle School by winning all three sets 25-16, 25-18 and 15-6. From the service line the Lady Dawgs had 6 different players serve up aces. Leading the team was Carmen Hoppough with 10 aces, Brooklyn Shattuck 6, Addie Perry 5, Aubree Shaw and Claire Nash 2 aces each and Lainey Bennett 1 ace. Ionia also brought the power at the net with a total of 20 kills. Carmen lead with 7 kills, Brooklyn and Addie threw down 5 each and Aubree 3. Overall, a very strong offensive night for the Lady Dawgs. Carmen Hoppough kept rallies alive with some great defensive saves. What a fantastic team effort! Way to go, Bulldogs! Ionia will travel to Portland on Wednesday as they look to extend their win streak.
