LAKEWOOD MIDDLE SCHOOL: 0
The 7th grade Volleyball A Team started the season out strong. The Bulldogs won all three sets against the visiting Lakewood team 25-15, 25-22 and 15-10. Ionia looked strong on defense and at the service line. The Bulldogs had multiple attacks at the net and had Lakewood on their heels. Leading Ionia at the service line was Brooklyn Shattuck with 19 service points (5 aces) and Aubree Shaw with 15 (3 aces). The bulldogs were led offensively by Addie Perry and Carmen Hoppough. The win tonight was the result of great teamwork! Go Blue! The Ionia A Team is 1-0 on the season and will face Lansing Catholic at home on Monday. Come out and support your team.
