OLIVET MIDDLE SCHOOL: 0
The Ionia 8th Grade A team traveled to Olivet tonight to take on the Eagles. Miah Wittenbach and Ava Bowen each had several great assists and strong serves. Amaya Frias and Erin Steffen each had a kill and Frias also had a nice block. The Bulldogs took the first set 25-18. Coming out hungry again, the Ionia Lady Dawgs served tough and were aggressive at the net. Gena Rogers put down a nice kill and an ace. Ella Bouwhuis was hustling in the back row and didn’t let a ball drop. Ionia dominated and took the second set 25-11. Following suit for the third and final set of the night, the Bulldogs held their own behind the line and had great communication at the net. Ionia swept the Eagles ending the final set 15-10.
The Ionia 8th Grade A team is 3-1 so far this season. Please join us Wednesday as we face our rivals from Portland at home. Let’s Go Bulldogs!
