Ionia Freshman Volleyball Beat Chesaning in Two

The Ionia Freshman Volleyball team won in against Chesaning 25-17, 25-14. The bulldogs went point for point with the Indians until Kaya Clark went on a serving run. With momentum on the Bulldog’s side the Indians were unable to recover. In game 2 the Indians held tight with the Dawgs until point 10, then the Bulldog bite was too much and the game went quickly. Kaya Clark had 6 aces, and 5 perfect passes for the evening. Avery Hoppough led the team on the floor setting up the offense. She has really stepped up in a new position this season. Brooklynn Burhans and Shiann Boer each had a block while Ariana Frias had 5 perfect passes. Marley Piselli had a strong night with 5 Aces and two kills. The Bulldogs host a home tournament on Saturday playing their first game at 9 am.
