Ionia Freshman Volleyball played strong to pull out a win at Dansville. As a team the bulldogs made a few changes to their rotation this past week and focused on on their serve receive in practice. Their dedication showed on the court with a bulldog sweep to win all three games; 25-22, 25-18, and 15-13. Cora Nummer, Danica White, and Marley Piselli served balls that proved hard for the Aggies to return. While our defensive specialists Kaya Clark and Cora Nummer put up consistent passes that allowed our setters Annabella Delgado and Avery Hoppough to push out many great assists. Ariana Frias, Marley Piselli, and Danica White helped the bulldogs surge ahead each game with hard spikes and great defensive. The lady dawgs played confidently and relaxed tonight. They never surrendered or wavered. On the net the Aggies outsized the bulldogs but Shiann Boer, Kaylyn Wizorek, Kennedy Sullivan, and Brooklyn Burhans did not back down. They battled many tight balls, helped create a wall defensively, and came out with several kills. The lady dawgs played confidently on the court tonight even when they traded points or had an error. Tonight’s win reflected a whole team effort and belief in the team. The Freshman Lady Dawgs will play next in Ionia on September 7, at 5:00, against Greenville.
