Ionia 9th Grade Volleyball Show a Promising Start

The Ionia Freshman Volleyball team had a promising start to the 2023-2024 season. The bulldogs fell in a close match to Lansing Catholic in their opening sets and then came back strong beating Grand Ledge, Everett and splitting with Charlotte. They finished the day with a 5-3 record. Freshman Coach Amy Frias started “In the CAAC tourney our goal was to try several different line ups until we found one that fit our team. By the end the team played stronger defensively and behind the service line. I am incredibly proud of them today. Many girls stepped up in new positions that they had never played before this season.”
