The Lady Dawgs went to Belding for a scrimmage against the Black Knights. The scrimmage tonight gave both teams the opportunity to play competitively but also give coaches and players time to work through skills and other possibilities for the team. 

Both Belding and Ionia agreed that it would be three games no matter what with the 3rd being to 15. 

The Lady Dawgs started off strong serving and receiving. The Lady Dawgs put the ball down and we're aggressive to keep the ball in play. The Lady Dawgs won the first set. 

I'm the second set the Black Knights came out swinging and the Lady Dawgs defense could not keep up. The Lady Dawgs tried their best to serve back into the game but fell short losing the second set. 

In the third set the points added up quick and the volley between teams was long. Both the Lady Dawgs and the Black Knights played hard. The Lady Dawgs pulled the win with strong serves and active net play. 

It was a great opportunity for the Lady Dawgs to be able to play with the Black Knights tonight. 

The Lady Dawgs will be away at Portland, Tuesday 10/19 5pm. Following with a Quad at Belding Thursday 10/21 5pm.
