With high hopes and higher temperatures the Ionia Freshman Volleyball team played against Fowlerville, Grand Ledge and Portland for a quad. 

The Lady Dawgs started off strong beating Fowlerville in two, 25-15 and 27-25. The Lady Dawgs defense was spot on as they moved their feet quickly, were aggressive on the net, had great communication and strong serves! 

During the second game against Grand Ledge the Lady Dawgs fought hard and kept Grand Ledge on their toes for the second game. Overall falling to Grand Ledge 14-25 and 20-25. The team had a total of 15 aces for the game and were aggressive on the net. 

The Portland Raiders defeated the Lady Dawgs in two,12-25 and 17-25. The Raiders held a strong defense which the Lady Dawgs tried their best to overcome. The team had 4 aces, 3 kills and 2 tips total for the game. Overall the Lady Dawgs played hard and pushed themselves through the heat to strive for better.

The Freshman Volleyball team will face Eaton Rapids Tuesday August 31st at Eaton Rapids 5pm.
