Ionia High School Freshman Volleyball started the season today!
In the very hot gym the freshman volleyball team played against St.Johns, Portland, Mason, Okemos, and Leslie.
The girls started the day off strong by splitting the first set. Okemos won 9-25. This fired up the team to turn around and win 25-22. After this first game there was a lot of great plays set up by the team. The girls served very strong, had a lot of perfect passes and lots of action on the net.
Although the team did not advance after pool play a lot of lessons were learned and the girls have a lot of things to work on. The team can only get better and stronger from this point on!
