The Ionia Girls JV Softball Team added 2 more wins to their 3-3 record on Tuesday, April 26th, defeating Olivet High School 23-8 in the first and 11-7 in the second. The cold weather for the game did not stop the Bulldog's bats from staying hot starting in the first game. Emma White went 3-4 with a walk, Allyson Strasser went 3-4 amd both Lauryn Schmid and Cashmier Austin went 2-2 with 2 walks. In the second game Allyson Strasser conitnued the great offensive game by going 3-3. The winning pitchers for the Bulldogs were Kaidence Thomas with 5 strikeouts and Liberty Stanard with 3 strikeouts. The Girls hope to continue their 3 game win streak against Hastings on Thursday, April 28th. Their Purple Game vs. Saranac will be held home on Friday and is a great opportunity for them to play for a great cause.
