The Ionia Girls JV soccer team went against Tri County we lost 2-4.

The first half was back and forth where Tri County scored 1 against us and we came back and had a great give and go up the middle with Kiarra Goodsell moving the ball up to Maddie Lemke who put the ball in the net. Tri County was able to get one more in goal before the half was over. The second half Tri County scored again , but we came back when Maddie Lemke had a break away and scored again. Tri County came back and scored their final goal leaving the game at 4-2. Our middle with Kiarra Goodsell did a great job at keeping the ball moving up and out. Enma Rio Miravalles was a huge asset playing outside midfield moving the ball out of our side and down the field getting the ball to the center for a few more shots on goal. Kayra Vazquez Yabara had 23 saves on goal. It was a tough game all around and our team did great!!

This leaves the JV at a total of 2-0-4. Our next game is Saturday, April 20 at 11:00am. Where we will face off against Fowlerville, at Ionia High School.
