Melayna Braman  hurls 14 shut-out innings and collects 2 Wins on her Birthday! Game one went 7 innings and the Bulldogs came out with a 4-0 Dub over the Raiders. Braman allowed zero runs and  four hits, striking out 3 and walking zero. The entire team was behind Braman and they played some great defense to allow the shut out. The Bulldogs racked up 7 hits led by Karter Edwards and Victoria Gutierrez each going 2 for 3, Esquivel, Groom and Braman each collected one hit.

Game two also went 7 innings with Ionia ending with a 7-0 Victory. In this game Braman surendered zero runs on 2 hits and struck out 2. Once again the Team played great defense, Center Fielder Raj Esquivel and Catcher Erin Groom teamed out and threw out a runner trying to score from 3rd, First Base Rachel Siemen played a great game even laying out for a pop up and getting the out. Freshmen short stop Alexis Daughtery played a really Nyce Game! So many players stepped up in this game, my senior catcher Erin Groom caught all 14 innings and was complimented by the umpires on doing such a good job! Leading our offense was Rachel Siemen going 2 for 3, Kam Perry came up big going 2 for 4 with an RBI, Karter Edwards also went 2 for 4, Alexias Daugherty and Rajalia Esquivel went 2 for 5 with Esquivel collecting 2 RBi's and Braman steppped up in the 7th inning a smacked a triple and collected 2 RBI's.

It was another great night at the Ionia "Field of Dreams" BIG Thanks to all my coaches for working so hard to make this team Better! Ionia is now 8 & 7 and we travel to Waverly this Saturday to play in tournament where we are going to face Corruna, Williamston & Waverly.  #goblue
