Game 1: Ionia falls to Saranac  9-12 after a 5 run 7th inning. Melayna Braman was in the circle and gave up 12 runs on 13 hits, striking out 5. The Bulldogs put 9 runs on the board but, suffered 7 infield errors. Offense was led by Kam Perry going 3 for 3, Erin Groom went 3 for 4 with 3 RBI's , Melayna Braman went 2 for 3. 

Game 2: Ionia bounced back and claimed a 12-1 blow out victory over Saranac. Victoria Gutierrez toed the rubber and allowed one run on 4 hits, striking out 3 and walking one. Ionia tallied 12 hits led by Melayna Braman and  Alexias Daughtery each going 3 for 4, Londyn Brown went 2 for 3 and Erin Groom drove in 3 runs.

Ionia is now 6 & 7 and we look forward to hosting Portland on Tuesday #goblue

Any night is a good night if you can be at a ball park, especially the Ionia "field of dreams"  Tonight was about so much more then wins & losses, it was about 2 communities coming together to raise money for people  suffering from cancer! Thank You needs to go out to so many hard working people that made this event a Huge success! Tonight alone with concessions, 7th inning stretch donations and gate fees we were able to raise $2,163.35!! Totals from jersey and tee shirt sales are not in yet.
