The Bulldogs traveled to Dewitt and played 3 games on this gorgeous Saturday. In the first game Dewitt ran away with the early lead and collected the 6-0 victory. Melayna Braman was in the circle and she allowed 12 hits and 6 runs, striking out 3 & walking 1. Defensivly neither team committed an error but, Dewitt has a high power offense and Ionia struggled at the plate, Melayna Braman led the bulldogs going 1 for 2.        Game #2  Fowler captured the early lead to defeat the Bulldogs 8-3. Fowler scored 4 runs in the 1st and 2nd inning and Ionia scored one run in the 1st, 4th and 5th inning. Victoria Gutierrez was in the circle and allowed 8 runs on 11 hits, striking out 4. Ionia struggled again with the bats only collecting 5 hits in the game.    Game #3 Petoskey ran away with the early lead to win the game 4-0. Center fielder Rajalia Esquivel made her first start of the season in the circle, she allowed 3 hits and 4 runs while striking out 4.  Petoskey scored all 4 runs in the first inning but, the Bulldogs only had 2 hits in the game by Melayna Braman & Rajalia Esquivel. Defensivly Ionia committed 4 costly errors .  The Bulldogs basically have a new team with only 4 returning players and we are getting better each time, very proud of our defensive growth, we just need to keep working on being more aggresive at the plate. This is a really good but quiet team and as our knowledge grows so will our confidence. We are 2 & 5 and we finally play a home game on Monday against Eaton Rapids, it is a 4:00 start please come out and support our journey. #goblue
