Ionia lost the 10 a.m. game to Greenville 6 - 0. Sara Bevington was in the circle and gave up 6 hits, 6 runs while stricking out 5. The Bulldogs couldn't get anything rolling offensively, only collecting 2 hits. The game was knotted at 0 - 0 until the bottom of 5th when Greenville put up 5 runs. 

In the noon game versus Coopersville the Dawgs remembered the Offense, smacking 15 hits led by Josie Phelps with a 4 hit game. Phelps doubled in the 1st & 3rd, Homered in the 5th & singled in the 7th. Michaela Castle went 2 for 4 going deep in the 6th inning,  Melayna Braman was the hurler in the game and surrendered 4 runs on 10 hits with 2 K's in the 9 - 4 Win. 

In the 2 O'clock game the Bulldogs Clinched the lead in the 6th inning to get the 9 - 3 Victory over St. John's. Phelps threw the 1st inning allowing 1 hit  & 2 runs while walking 1. Sara Bevington took over in the circle and collected the Win giving up 3 hits and 1 run while striking out 9. The game was tied at 3 going into bottom of 6th inning and with 2 outs the Bulldogs rallied with 7 runs. Sara Bevington tripled, Melayna Braman doubled, Rachel Siemen hit a Dinger. Phelps went 2 for 4 scoring 2 runs, Sara Bevington went 2 for 3 with an RBI & scored a run. 

It was a gorgeous day at Ionia's "Field of Dreams" full of up & downs and eventually celebrating winning the tourney! Thanks much to everyone that came out to watch.

The Bulldogs are 20 & 7 and travel to Lake Odessa Lakewood on Monday
