Ionia watched the game slip away and could not recover in the 10- 1 loss to Eaton Rapids. Sarah Bevington was the pitcher in the 7 inning game and allowed 14 hits and 10 runs, sticking out 7 and walking 1. The Bulldogs were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. The Bulldog bats were quiet only recording 6 hits, Layna Braman scored our one run on a double by Kam Perry.

In the second game the Bulldogs fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 13- 3 loss to Eaton Rapids. Layna Braman threw the 5 inning game, allowing 10 hits and 13 runs, striking out 2.  The Bulldogs were more aggressive at the plate collecting 8 hits. Rajalai Esquivel, Maddie Braman and Josie Phelps were all 2 for 3. Defensively this was a rough game for the Bulldogs, after 0 errors in first game we committed 11 errors in second game. 

That puts Ionia at 16 - 6 overall, 4 - 2 in league. We travel to Portland Thursday.
