PEWAMO-WESTPHALIA HS: 7
Sara Bevington got the start the first game, she allowed 3 hits, zero runs, struck out 11 and walked zero. Offense was led by Layna Braman who was 3 for 3, driving in 5 runs. She went yard in the first, doubled in the second, and hit another dinger in the third. Sarah Bevington and Summer Sawdy each managed multiple hits while Raj Esquivel led us in steals with 2. Final score was 11-0
Layna Braman was in the circle the 2nd game, she went all 7 innings giving up 10 hits and 7 runs while stricking out 4.Offensivley Ionia came out strong scoring runs in the first 3 innings and managed to hang on as P.W. scored 5 runs in bottom of 7th. Final score was 9-7.
The Bulldogs are now 8 & 2 and we travel to Portland on Tuesday to start league play.
