J.W. SEXTON HIGH SCHOOL: 80
Ionia boys jv basketball team was defeated by a score of 80-54 on Friday night in an away match up vs Lansing Sexton. We came out of the locker room extremely flat and allowed Sexton to take a large lead after the first quarter. Although the following three quarters were much better, much more composed and well executed, the first quarter deficit was too large.
Aiden Washington scored 13 points. Cash Hummel added 4 points and 6 assists on the night, and Braeden Piggott scored 6 points to go with 6 rebounds.
Ionia jv will enter the final week of the season next week and will travel to Lansing Catholic on Tuesday. Feb 18 for a triple header. JV tip-off at 5:30
