Ionia boys jv basketball team defeated Charlotte by a score of 45-31 on Tuesday night. We really leaned on our defense to get us going tonight, holding Charlotte to just 15 points in the first three quarters, and 9 points at halftime.
Grant Starks got off to a hot start, scoring 8 of his 13 points in the first quarter. Grant would also add 8 rebounds. Aiden Washington added 8 points of his own to go with 3 steals. With our team being down due to sickness, Dawson Leland helped fill in for the night and totaled 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Ionia will travel to Lansing Sexton on Friday night for an away triple header at Lansing Sexton. The jv game will tip at 5:30.
