Ionia JV Baseball nets 2 more wins for the season beating the Lakewood Vikings 19-4 and 15-6.

Parker Seidelman started the game for the Bulldogs and threw 1 inning allowing 2 runs on 1 hit, while walking 4, and striking out 1. Christian Miller pitched in relief, throwing 2 full innings giving up 0 runs on 0 hits, with 1 walk, and striking out 3. Carter Starks closed out the game throwing 1 full inning giving up 2 runs on 0 hits, with 3 walks, and 1 strike out. Ionia collected 16 hits in the game and were led by 2 players in the first game. Hunter Roundtree homered in back to back at bats in the 3rd and 4th innings giving him 3 hits in 4 at bats and Gage Flanner went 4 for 4 with a triple in the game as well. Other Bulldogs to collect hits were Wyatt Erride (2), Nolan Lundstrom (1), Trevor Hodges (1), Christian Miller (1), Carter Starks (3), and Ryan Lee (1).

Gage Flanner was on the mound to start for the second game throwing 2 full innings giving up 6 runs on 2 hits, with 5 walks, and 2 strikeouts. Gaven Elvert pitched in relief, finishing the game throwing 2 full innings, allowing 0 runs, on 1 hit, while walking 1, and striking out 5. The Bulldogs managed 10 hits in the 2nd game with Gage Flanner, Christian Miller, Hunter Roundtree, and Jaxson Palmer all collecting multiple hits in the game. Miller had 4 RBI’s in the game and Roundtree had 5. Kellan Ferguson and Austin Murphy each had 1 hit in the game as well. 

The Ionia JV Baseball team is now 15-7-1 on the season and will play next Monday May 23rd @Home vs East Lansing @4pm.
