The Ionia JV Baseball Team sweeps the Hastings Saxons. The first game was 10-1 and the second 6-4.

Galvin Elvert pitched a complete game today throwing 6 full innings. He managed 8 strikeouts, 1 walk, 1 run allowed, on 4 hits, facing 23 batters. Offensively the bulldogs managed 10 runs on 7 hits. Leading the way was Nolan Lundstrom with 2 hits and Carter Starks who managed to 1 hop the fence and secure himself a triple. Other players to secure hits were Gage Flanner (1), Wyatt Erridge (1), Kellan Ferguson (1), and Ryan Lee.

In the second game Trevor Hodges pitched 3 innings striking out 7 batters, walking 2, and letting up 4 runs. Gage Flanner came in to close out the game pitching 1 full inning striking out 2 batters. The Bulldogs only managed 4 hits in this one, but it was enough to get the win. Parker Siedleman lead the team with 1 double, while Gage Flanner, Wyatt Erridge, and Christian Miller each secured 1 hit in the game.

The Bulldogs will next play @Portland Highschool on Tuesday May 3rd @ 4pm.
