The Ionia JV baseball team lost 2 close ones tonight to the Williamston Hornets 

The first game's final score ended up being Ionia 7 Williamston 10. Parker Seidleman started on the mound throwing 3 full innings striking out 3, walking 4, and giving up 3 runs. Jaxson Palmer came in at relief pitching 2 innings and giving up 7 runs. The Bulldogs 7 runs were led by Gage Flanner who scored 2x, had 2 hits, and had 2 RBI’s. Other players to secure hits in this game were Nolan Lundstrom with 1, Carter Starks with 1, and Trevor Hodges with 1. 

In the nightcap the Bulldogs lost a very close game losing to Williamston 6-7. Trevor Hodges started on the mound throwing 1 and 2/3rds innings with 1 strikeout, 3 runs, and 4 hits. Christian Miller pitched in relief going 2 and 1/3rd innings with 3 strikeouts, 3 hits, and 2 runs. Hitting wise the Bulldogs were able to produce 6 runs with Gage Flanner scoring 2x this game as well. The Bulldogs 7 hits this game were spread around with Gage Flanner having 1, Jaxson Palmer with 1, Austin Murphy with 1, Hunter Roundtree with 1 double, Nolan Lundstrom with 1, Parker Seidelman with 1, and Kellan Ferguson with 1. 

The Bulldogs are now 3-3 on the season and will next host their JV invitational @Ionia starting at 10am on Saturday April 23rd. The 3 teams besides Ionia that are participating are Lakewood, Saranac, and Coopersville.
