Tuesday the Ionia Men’s Swim and Dive team lost against Eaton Rapids 111 to 66. Despite the loss there were a lot of great races and many PRs. Top point earners were Carl Goeckel with 12 points, Hannah Luttman with 8.5 points, and Christian Martinez with 8 points. First place finishers were Carl Goeckel in the 200 freestyle and Hannah Luttman in Diving. With Hannah Luttman and Carleigh Thompson’s 1st and 2nd place finishes in diving Carleigh Thompson qualified for regionals. Bodey Brownell PRed in the 50 freestyle and 100 breaststroke, Cooper Highlen PRed in his 200 IM, Gabe PRed in his 100 breaststroke, Hannah Luttman PRed in her 100 backstroke, Jaxxon Thelen PRed in her 100 backstroke, Talon Thompson PRed in his 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle, Wyatte PRed in his 50 freestyle, Xander Towery PRed in his 100 Breaststroke, and Christian Martinez PRed in his 100 freestyle.
