CORUNNA HIGH SCHOOL: 120
On Saturday the Ionia High School Swimming and Diving Team lost to Corunna in Corunna 58 to 120.
Top point earners were Carl Goeckel with 13 points, Christian Martinez with 11.5 points, and Carleigh Thompson with 10 points.
Carl took first place in the 200-yard freestyle and 100-yard butterfly, Christian Martinez took first place in the 50-yard freestyle, and Carliegh took first in diving.
Ionia also took second in several events; Tristan Asher took 2 nd in the 500-yard freestyle, Christian Martinez took 2nd in the 100 Breaststroke, the 200-yard relay team of Carl Goeckel, Gabe Holman, Body Brownell, & Talon Thompson took 2nd , and the 400-yard relay team of Carl Goeckel, Christian Martinez, Gabe Holman, Cooper Highlen took 2nd .
The swim teams next meet will be Tuesday December 10 th at home against St. Johns.
