Carter Castillo continued his dominating pitching performance vs Lakewood tonight. He pitched 7 innings, 0 runs, 2 hits and 12 K's. Carter has pitched very well all season but tonight's pitching performance was his best yet. It was definitely a pitchers dual as Lakewood has a very solid ace as well. It was 0-0 heading to the top of the 7th before Ionia finally had a couple of nice bounces to go their way.
Offensively, Wyatt Erridge led the Ionia Bulldogs, he was 2-3 with a big 2 out hit in the 7th inning to give Ionia a 1-0 lead. Colt Piercefield and Alex Barr both contributed hits for the Bulldogs.
