Ionia traveled to Williamston on Saturday for a doubleheader against the third ranked team in the state.  

Game #1 

Ionia 0 Williamston 7

Carter Castillo started on the mound for Ionia,  he pitched 4.2 innings, giving up 7 runs (4 earned), 5 hits, 5 walks and 5 k's.  Alex Barr came in relief and pitched 1.1 innings, 0 runs, 0 hits, 0 walks and 2 K's.  Alex Barr and Parker Seidelman both had hits for Ionia. 

Game #2 

Ionia 0 Williamston 10 ( 6 innings) 

Christian Miller started the second game of the doubleheader, 1.2 innings, 4 hits, 9 runs (6 earned), 4 walks.  Gage Flanner pitched 1.1 innings, O runs on 2 walks, Trevor Hodges pitched 2 innings, 0 runs, 1 walk and 3 K's.  Jaxon Palmer had the only hit for Ionia.  

Ionia is now 9-7 on the season and will travel to Lansing Sexton on Tuesday, Saranac on Wednesday, home Thursday vs Waverly and finally host a home tournament on Saturday for the Frank Ciangi Memorial Field Rededication.
