The Bulldogs hosted Lansing Sexton tonight for their annual Purple Game in which the players honored the Fighters, Survivors and those Taken. Ionia took the court ready to play, quickly jumping out to a lead and finishing strong behind great serving and solid overall play. The Bulldogs continued their balanced attack for the next two sets, completing the program sweep of the J Dubbs and moving to 3-0 in Conference play. 

Leading the offensive attack tonight was Tessa Lemke with 8 kills while Josie Lee, Logan Thomas, and Amaya Frias all added 3 apiece. Grace Droste paced the hitters with 12 assists while Alli Shaw put up another 9. Frias led from the service line with a career high 13 aces on 27 service points while Droste added 6. Defensively the Bulldogs were led by Paislie Patterson with 4 digs while Frias and Shaw each added 2. Layla Delnay led the defense at the net with 3 blocks total while Lee added 1. The Bulldogs are now 15-6 overall and 3-0 in the CAAC White. Ionia Varsity travels to Laingsburg this Saturday for an invitational.
