Girls Tennis Beats Waverly 8-0

Varsity Girls defeated Waverly last night 8-0 in our first match of the season on our new tennis courts. All the girls performed well! Sophomore Avelin McGuire led the way at 3rd singles with a 6-0;6-0 win. At doubles, freshmen Lila Redder and Amelia Griffith led the way with a 6-0; 6-1 win.

JV also defeated Waverly 4-1 with Trinity Scofield leading the way at singles with an 8-0 win and Grace Clark and Gigi Freire-DeAlmeida with an 8-0 victory at doubles.

Thanks to the student fans who came out last night, it was appreciated!

The girls will be back in action on Thursday at Fowlerville.
