The Ionia boys varsity tennis team dominated the Grand Rapids Union invitational winning six of eight flights and taking second in the other two.  Owen Shippey took second at first singles winning his first two matches 8-5 and 8-7 before falling in the final  1-8.  Second singles Christian Miller dominated his flight winning 8-2,8-1 and 8-0.  Third singles Cole Petersen also dominated his flight winning 8-3,8-0 and 8-0.  Fourth singles Harper Duell easily won his only match of the day 8-0.  

In doubles the first doubles team of Jude Gregory and Ryan Lee took second winning their first match 8-5, losing the second match 1-8 and bouncing back in the third to win 8-3.  Second doubles Riley Yokom and Jaxon Palmer won both their matches to take the gold 8-6 and 8-3.  Third doubles also won the gold winning their two matches 8-2, 8-0.  And fourth doubles won their only match to win gold 8-0.  

The bulldogs will be back home on Monday for their next dual match versus St. Johns.
