The Ionia boys tennis team lost a tough match to Grand Ledge on Thursday by a score of 2-6.  The two victories were the first two wins on the new tennis courts for the Bulldogs. Harper Duell won an incredible match.  After losing the first set 6-4, Harper dominated the second set 6-1 and then won the third set tiebreak 10-6.  The third doubles team of Mason Clark and Riley McClintock also won a tough match, winning the first set 7-6 (7-5) and then won 6-4 in the second set to win the match.  Cole Petersen lost at first singles 6-1, 6-0.  Owen Shippey lost at second singles 6-0,6-2.  Third singles Christian Miller lost at third singles 6-3,6-3.  The first doubles team of Jude Gregory and Ryan Lee lost 6-0,6-0.  Second doubles Riley Yokom and Jaxon Palmer lost 6-2,6-3.  The fourth doubles team of Nolan Lundstrom and Myles Perrien lost a tough match 7-5 and 6-2.  

The Bulldogs are back in action on Monday, August 21st at Hastings and then home against Greenville on August 23rd.
