Ionia boys tennis defeated Portland High School in a CAAC White League match 7-1. Winning tonight was first singles Sam Eppler (12) 6-3, 6-0, second single Miles Gregory (12) 6-1, 6-4  third singles Brett Petersen 6-1, 6-1, and fourth singles Austin Currigan (12) 6-0, 6-1. For doubles we had a close third set win at second Doubles Lucas Wandell (12) and Christian Miller (10) 1-6, 6-2, 7-6 (7), third doubles Elijah Hatfield (12) and Colter Clark (12) won 7-6(7), 6-1, fourth doubles  Owen Shippey (11) and Cole Petersen (9) won 6-0, 6-3. Both of our JV matches defeated Portland as well. Jude Gregory (9) and Riley Yokom (9) won 8-0 in an eight game pro set and Riley McClintock (9) and Jake Whitney (9) won 8-1.  So proud of this team.
