Ionia Boys Tennis won an extremely tough match against Haslett. Sam Eppler (12) at first singles suffered his first loss of the season in a 3 set DAWG fight, 1-6, 6-2,1-6, Miles Gregory (12) was successful in a three set fight 6-1, 2-6, 6-3. Landon(12) and Harper(9) Duell at first doubles won in straight sets 7-6(7)6-2, at second Doubles Lucas Wandell(12) and Christian Miller (10) won 6-2, 7-5, third doubles Elijah Hatfield(12) and Colter clark (12) won 6-2, 6-1, and fourth doubles  Ben Marhofer (12) and Owen Shippey (11) won 6-1, 6-1. This is our first victory over Haslett in at least 10 years and the team was strong and should be proud. Parents of Haslett players told the head Coach that the players from Ionia were respectful and conducted themselves as gentleman. Jv also played tonight. Cole Petersen(9) played a singles match and won an 8 game proset 7-7(8), Riely Yokom(9) and Jude Gregory(9) won twice they beat a JV team 8-1, and then beat a varsity team 6-4. Mason Clark (9) and Gavin flanner (12) won at doubles 8-1. It was a great match and tennis resumes league play monday at home versus Portland.
